About me

Giulia Rabozzi - Portrait of the artist

GIULIA RABOZZI

When I was a child I promised myself: when I grow up I will make magic, I will make the invisible visible.

  • City: Turin, Italy
  • Studies: many and very different
  • What do you do for work? Actress/dancer, clown, painter
  • And for work? This... and more!
  • I like: looking for four-leaf clovers, eating raspberries, smelling vanilla, petting an animal, walking for a long time, watching clouds
  • I don't like: breathing smog, hammering nails, writing a biography, the verb "must", hearing too many noises together

I encountered theater unexpectedly, while studying at MultiDAMS, computer science applied to the arts, and so since 2007 I became a children's theater actress. I could play at transforming my body and voice to become anything. I became passionate about the dancing body, the voice that sounds, I discovered I could fly on aerial silks. Then, seven years later, a new lightning strike: the clown. Through clown I was able to play even more freely with every part of me, even the most hidden, most fragile ones.

When I could no longer perform shows, I found a new game: for a handful of years I had been painting for personal pleasure, with an intuitive approach that put me in immediate connection with something invisible that inhabited that moment. During lockdown I consolidated the practice of intuitive painting and since then I haven't stopped.

They say that the cells of our body completely regenerate every seven years: you are the same person, but with all new cells. I think it's also happening to the cells of my creativity: 2007-2014 theater, 2014-2021 clown, 2021-2028 intuitive painting? Who knows. The beautiful thing is that all these artistic worlds are actually the same thing, seen with different eyes.

STATEMENT: INTUITIVE EXPLORATIONS IN THE WORLD OF THE INVISIBLE

My art is an emotional journey, an experience that invites the viewer to explore inner worlds and discover the invisible through vibrant colors and suggestive forms. Intuitive painting is my language, a game of continuous discoveries that feeds on creative freedom and inspiration from the nature that surrounds us.

My overall vision is to transmit empathy and authenticity, to create a deep connection between my inner world and those who observe my works. Intuitive painting is the means through which I make visible what would otherwise remain hidden, an opportunity to share with the public the magic of creativity.

My artist's story begins with a journey in the performing arts, which taught me the importance of authentic expression and connection with the audience. The discovery of intuitive painting was a revelation, opening a new dimension in my creative path: it is the connection between what I create as an artist and why I do it. It is the means through which I express my vision of the world, making the invisible tangible and offering the public an authentic and meaningful experience. My art is an invitation to travel with me, to explore unknown worlds together and reflect on the beauty of creativity and human connection.
